The Boulder Genealogical Society is here to help you with your family history no matter your level of expertise or where you are researching. We also contribute to the greater genealogical community through local history research.
We welcome all interested genealogists, whether you are just starting out or have years of experience or are a professional. Members support our monthly speakers and are invited to regular discussion groups and indexing projects. Join here!
Society meetings are free and open to the public on the first Tuesday of each month. Meeting time is at 7:00 pm. We are resuming in-person meetings in April!

Whether you’re interested in planning a trip to visit U.S. Battlefields of your patriotic forebears, walking the streets of an ancestral village, or meeting distant relatives, family history travel offers a rich and rewarding experience. Join us and learn expert tips for planning travel and making connections on your unique journey.
Speakers:
Lisa Vogele is a professional genealogist and Certified Travel Advisor (CTA). She is the Chief Tree Climber at Travel Your Tree: Where Ancestry Meets Adventure, a full-service family history research, travel planning & custom tour operator.
She is passionate about traveling in the footsteps of your ancestors to make or re-establish connections of personal, historical significance. In 2016, Lisa authored Food & Folklore: A Year of Italian Festivals, a guidebook to assist travelers with incorporating heritage festivals into their itineraries, get off the beaten path and experience local culture through food and historic events.
She earned a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University in 2019 and a Certified Travel Associate (CTA) credential. Her travel tips have been featured in the Huffington Post, 1000 Travel Tips, and her travel blog LisaLovesToTravel.com. She holds a Master’s degree from Clemson University, was raised in Connecticut, and resides in Colorado.
